Designing a Darling Kid's Room With Baseball Bedroom Decor
Designing a Darling Kid's Room With Baseball Bedroom Decor

There's just something about kids and baseball. After all, it's the national pass time, and kids start young. They dream of being professional baseball players with fantastic pitching arms and amazing batting skills, and they admire major league players. What better way could you encourage your child's imagination than by providing a baseball-themed bedroom? There are so many different products on the market now that you'll be able to provide your child with the perfect place to dream, to study, and to sleep.
Starting with the walls, there are plenty of baseball wallpaper, borders, and huge murals of scoreboards and players for you to choose from. If you want to begin by painting the walls, choose a color associated with your child's favorite team. Keep the colors light and add bright and primary accents which will look the most authentic, like the colors of the team's caps. From there you can add life-sized murals of pitchers, catchers, umpires, and batters. Layer them over each other, such as an umpire with a catcher in front of him and a batter in front of them all, to make authentic wall scenes. You will also find murals that cover an entire wall and look like the crowd in the stands at a baseball game.
Once you've got the walls taken care of, you can think about flooring. One good choice might be green carpeting which will be soft for your child to play on and will give the illusion of the grass on a baseball diamond. Other choices include patterned carpets or area rugs that look like baseballs. You will also find a large array of different bedding sets that feature balls, players, and even baseball cards, so your child will be able to choose his favorites. Then you can select curtains to match, and hang them using baseball bats as rods, or you can hang baseball pennants as valances.
Accessories abound to accent your baseball bedroom décor. There are special ceiling fans with light fixtures that look like baseballs and arms resembling bats, or you can refurbish your existing fan by painting the blades with team colors and decoupaging them with baseball cards. Dozens of accessories are available for your baseball-themed room. You can purchase adorable table lamps, wall clocks, team posters, or a locker. Make sure you allow your child to help you design his room, and he's sure to love it for many years to come.
Admit it, you're thinking about changing up your bedroom. How do you do it though? Visit betterbedroomideas.com for more tips on bedroom closet organizers and romantic bedroom design ideas and learn how you can do more.

Ideas For Sports Theme Bedrooms - Boys Baseball Bedroom
Ideas For Sports Theme Bedrooms - Boys Baseball Bedroom
By Rebecca Groskreutz
Sports-themed bedrooms for boys are always a great way to go for the athlete in your family. Here are some great ways to create a baseball theme boys bedroom on a budget.
1) Paint the room a basic beige color to mimic the color of the field. I used Benjamin Moore Deer Path #1047.
2) Add a mural on one wall to create an at the stadium feeling in the bedroom. I used this easy-to-install mural for a great effect.
3) Choose a simple painted bed with an open headboard so the mural is easily viewable. For the bedding, you can purchase a sports-themed set, or just get a plain blue quilt, and jazz it up with accessories. Use baseball pillows/sheets/blankets for a more cohesive look.
4) Create a nightstand out of an old locker, or paint an old nightstand bright red and put a baseball knob on the drawers/door. You can also purchase nightstands that look like lockers. You can add a baseball lamp to pull it together.
5) It's easy to re-purpose an existing ceiling fan by painting it red or blue, and applying baseball decals, or you can find a great baseball fan ready to install at Lowes.
6) For window treatments, create a custom valance by using team pennants which you can find on Ebay! String them together with rope and tack them to the wall or string them to a curtain rod. Use plain blue panels for extra privacy.
7) For extra touches, add a baseball rug, baseball knobs to the closet doors, or some framed pictures of their favorite players.
Your boys baseball room is sure to be a hit with all his friends. Take me out to the ball game!
