Safari Nursery Decor: How to Turn Baby’s Room into a Savannah

Of all the nursery theme ideas, safari nursery décor is one of the easiest to work on. There are many products available to help you decorate your safari baby room and it can be a lot of fun. The soothing palette of browns and golds is ideal for any age and perfect for boys and girls.
You have a lot of options when it comes to decorating a baby’s room with a safari theme. Think dust and sunsets, wild animals and Jeeps and you’ve got a great start. One way to go is to do the lower half of the room in dark brown, with a yellow and orange upper section and a big setting sun on one wall with silhouettes of the animals you might see on a safari.
If you want to stick with the simplest methods, then paint the walls a dusty yellow gold or tan and add wall decals and a border. There are some amazing wallpaper borders with animals on them. In many cases you can use the same borders that would be used in a jungle room.
Finishing Touches
The real fun in safari nursery décor is in the details. A six foot giraffe in a corner of the nursery . . . zebra print curtains, or a leopard print end table can add a lot to a baby room like this. Don’t forget the bedding, it can be covered in adorable animals or be in giraffe print for more exotic looking crib bedding.
Stuffed animals are a great way to go and you can hang prints and photos of African scenes and animals on the walls, too. Don’t forget a stuffed animal hammock in one corner!
There’s so much you can do with safari nursery décor that it can be difficult to know just where to start. Paint first and then work your way up the decorating ladder!

Super Safari Theme Room Decorating Tips & Ideas – Create Your Own Jungle Safari Theme Room
Super Safari Theme Room Decorating Tips & Ideas – Create Your Own Jungle Safari Theme Room
by Scott Paull
If youre an animal lover, or have children, we have the perfect ideas for creating a realistic, relaxing, and unique room with a jungle safari theme. Theres a few different ways to approach creating your jungle safari theme room, we’ll show you just a few of our favorites. Let your imagination run with the wild, because after all, we are making a safari theme room!
Now, its time to get down and dirty so we’ll start with the floor. To best create a natural looking jungle floor, we’d advise going with “earth” tone carpeting, such as browns and greens. If you have hardwood floors, area rugs will perfectly compliment the colors of the wood, and the contrast will give a very warm feel to the safari theme room.
Next, we’ll move on to the walls. Our favorite way to decorate the walls of your safari theme room would be with jungle animal wall stickers. Animal wall decals are available in packs from sites like walljungle.com, and are easily customizable to your liking. The ideal wall colors for a safari theme room would again be natural tones (yellows, browns, greens.) To add graphics, pick a few of your favorite animal wall decals and piece by piece decorate each wall, or pick the mural option to completely cover your wall with a vibrant jungle theme.
To accessorize your safari theme room, pick some “earthy” or exotic accessories. Trees and plants (real or fake) will add the ideal foliage for creating a safari theme room. If you’re adding furniture, try and go for natural finishes or select darker woods if at all possible.
